Production to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Accession of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
This play was first performed at the Strand Theatre, London on November 3rd 1949. We have set the play as closely as possible to start in the Spring of 1952; just 40 years ago. The scene is set in the living room of a cottage of the first Elizabethan period somewhere in Buckinghamshire.
