Bleak Expectations
Our autumn 2024 production will be Mark Evans' comedy play 'Bleak Expectations'. Directed by Susan Stadler
Step into the wildly hilarious Dickensian world of Bleak Expectations by Mark Evans, based on his Radio 4 comedy series. Follow the misadventures of young Pip Bin as he battles dastardly villains, outlandish plots, and absurd misfortunes in his quest to save his family and fortune. This fast paced comedy, filled with witty wordplay and over-the-top characters, is a brilliantly irreverent take on Victorian melodrama. Perfect for fans of classic literature and modern parody alike, the Guild Players invite you to an evening of laughter and lunacy that will leave you thoroughly entertained.
