Charity Support

The Guild Players regularly support a number of local charities in the London Borough of Barnet.

Both Joe Fox and Renee Heatherington were members of the Guild Players and the two trusts were set up in their memory. We often raise money by holding a 'charity night' performance where the profits are donated to these small charitable trusts.

The Joseph Fox Youth Trust

Registered Charity No. 1046287

A Charity for Barnet's Young People.
The Trust was established in 1995 with a mission to give small grants to individual young people in youth groups in Barnet who, without such support, would be unable to attend training courses, residentials, camps or similar events.

The Renee Heatherington Memorial Trust

Registered Charity No. 1058667

Renee Heatherington was a long serving member of the Guild Players. For 34 years she was also one of the country's leading counsellors, touching the lives of many for good. The Trust was set up in 1996 to provide bursaries for needy students studying for counselling qualifications and to otherwise support such students in their studies.

The Guild Players do not charge for programmes. However, since December 2000 (when the production was set in an hospital!), it has become our regular practice to ask for donations to support our local hospital via collecting boxes in the foyer. Our audiences have been very generous in supporting this good cause in return for their programme.
